Everything Resides In Hope

Happy Friday Friends

I hope you are all well :)  I made this quick card for Friends With Flair today.  Don't you love those butterflies?? As you know I am addicted to butterflies. This is one of my newest stamps to add to that collection. I used my watercolour paints to colour them shades of pink and purple. The stamp set is from Unity of course it is called Everything Resides In Hope. I kept the card really simple as I think those butterflies speak for themselves.

Have a great weekend!

The Greatest Gift

When I first saw this stamp on the Unity website I just had to have it. This is such a lovely Christmas stamp and it is unlike anything else I have seen before. I love Unity for that that they have really great unique stamps. We often get lost in hustle and bustle this time of year but this is a such a great reminder of what Christmas is really is all about.

This is a really easy card to make the hard part was choosing the colours :)  I stamped the sentiment and image on the same piece of card then coloured it. I mounted it on to some coordinating card and adhered it to the card base.

Sympathy

It is never really a good time when you have to make a sympathy card. We found out our neighbour lost her mother a few days ago so I wanted to make her a card. I seem to pull out the Butterfly Corner embossing folder a lot for my sympathy cards. I love the detail on it and of course I love the butterflies. I bought mine at my local craft store you can find it online at Darice amongst other places . It was one of the first cards I made when I got into card making.  Here is my original card if you want to take a look :) I have made many other cards using this embossing folder it is so versatile here is another example. You can pretty much do anything you want with it.

I used two different Unity stamps in this  card the sentiment is from the Sympathy and Sadness stamp you can find it at Unity Stamp Company website here. The butterflies are from the A Friend Loveth stamp set you can find that here.  I embossed some lilac card with the folder then mounted it onto a white cardstock base. I stamped the butterflies onto vellum using Versamark ink then added white embossing powder and set with my heat gun. I cut them out added some white pearls and used a fabric glue that dies in clear to stick them onto the card. I used the same white embossing powder on the sentiment to make it stand out.

Hope you like my card thanks for stopping by :)

I am entering this card into the CAS-ual Friday's card challenge

Arianna Girl

I have been wanting to play with my new stamp Arianna Girl since she arrived in the mail the other day. I just love this stamp you can find it here at Unity Stamp Company.  I embossed some white card with a Darice embossing folder called Scroll Flourish corner you can find it here at Darice then added the image. I coloured her with alcohol markers then sponged the entire card with memento ink leaving a little white around the image. I heat embossed the swirls with white glitter embossing powder. I added lots of glitter glue and rhinestones to make her sparkle :) The purple is really hard to photograph this is the best I could do.  I am adding her to this weeks Friends with Flair over at the Unity blog tomorrow.

Here is another one I made a totally different style :) I paper pieced some of her dress on this one and added a ribbon. The sentiment is a single sentiment from Unity you can find it here :)

Tag 7

I'm still doing tags this is day 7. I must admit I am getting addicted to making them :)  Today's tag is a mish mash of stamps again. I like to mix them up a bit. I really like this sentiment God's timing is perfect, Trust it. You can find it here and the other stamp set is The simple things you can find that here also. I love that stamp set it is so versatile.

I really like making borders with stamps so I did that again with this tag. I took some purple card stock and cut out a tag. I stamped all around using Versamark ink in then added white embossing powder and set it with the heat gun. I then stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on to white card and then cut it out. I went around the edges with Colorbox silver ink then glued them onto the tag. I went around the whole tag with the silver ink also and it created a very soft border.  I added a few rhinestones and some white ribbon and it was done :)

Thursday Tag 4

I am having a lot of fun with the tag challenge over at Unity. I was not really interested in tags until this week now I love making them :) I  needed to make my Thursday tag tonight since I am up so early for work I will not have a chance to make anything tomorrow. I decided on an Itty Bitty I have not yet used called a child is born. It is a really sweet Christmas stamp. I wanted to go with non traditional Christmas colours so I went with purple.

I stamped the tag with memento Tuxedo black ink then the sentiment. I then took a dauber and sponged the Grape Jelly all around the edge darker on the outside and then lighter in the middle.  I then went back over the whole tag with Rose Bud. I left the manger white but then decided it needed some colour. So I went with the really light Memento Angel Pink. I added 1 rhinestone on the star just to finish it off :)
