Autumn

Happy Sunday Friends!

Don't you love Autumn? or Fall if you are in America :)
It is my favourite time of year!!
I love seeing the the leaves changing colour and falling from the trees!
It is also monarch butterfly migration season in the USA.
I would see them every year when I lived in New York.
Flying off to a warmer climate for the winter.
So that was my inspiration for this tag.

I love love love these stamps from Visible Image.
If you know me you know I love Butterflies and Leave stamps!!
So these are the perfect stamp sets for me.
That all season tree is amazing! I have many plans for that stamp :)

This is my first guest design project for this amazing company.
They are a new to me company that I discovered when I moved back home to Scotland.
They are a small stamp company with amazing images.
Please go and check them out if you are not familiar with them. You will not be disappointed!
I will leave all of the links below where you can find them.

I used the small butterfly stamp from this set called Butterfly Beginnings

The leaves and the sentiment are from this set called Four Every Season

If you are interested this is how I made my tag. If not you can skip over this next part.

I started off with a plain white tag. Then took those pretty leaves and my distress inks. I stamped them with Mustard Seed first then Spiced Marmalade and  finally just touched the edges with Barn Door.  I set that aside to dry and then stamped and coloured my butterfly with the same orange colour Spiced Marmalade. I cut it out and then went around the edges with my white gel pen to highlight the wings. I glued down my butterfly just by the body and pulled the wings back. Then I stamped my sentiment and edged it with some black card.  Finally I took some white seam binding ribbon and dyed it with Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade distress inks to match my tag.

I hope you love my tag as much as I do!!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

Unity & Misti Blog Hop

Hello My lovelies :) Welcome to the Unity and Misti blog hop! I  hope you are enjoying seeing all of the projects so far. I just had my first wee play with the Misti tool the other day. It is a very new to me tool and wow do I LOVE it!! It is awesome! Just for the simplest of things like positioning a stamp.  One time is all you need with the Misti!! I am not one of those crafters that gets my stamped images crisp first time. I usually have wasted a card or two before I end up with a perfect image. This tool totally eliminates all of that.  Here is my very first card that I made with the Misti tool and Unity stamps.  I used a stamp called  Scattered Pieces . I LOVE this stamp and the sentiments that come with it.  I positioned the feather and the sentiment at the same time on the Misti.  I totally love that you can do that too!  It lets you stamp several at once instead of just eye b...

Tag Trio Day 5 GIU

Hello Friends Welcome to my final day as GIU girl. I must say that I have loved every minute of it and I have enjoyed putting all of my projects together for you to see. So I wanted to end my week with some distress tags. I love getting messy with my distress inks and using the embossing resist technique. I chose this lovely flower stamp set called  Insightful Meadows . The sentiments are from another stamp set called  The Simple Things . These were so easy to make I stamped all of the flowers and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I took 3 different colours for each tag and swiped them on to my craft sheet. I spritzed some water and let the tag pick up the inks. I dried them 3 or 4 times in between until I had built up the colours I wanted.  I then stamped out the sentiments on to vellum and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I attached the vellum with glue and glued it at the back of ...

Craft Stamper November Challenge

Hey Friends Welcome to a new  Craft Stamper  challenge for November. Can you believe we are almost at the end of the year already!!  Where did time go?? It has been pretty cold and frosty up here in Scotland for the last few nights.   But I am hanging on to Autumn as long as I can. I took a wee walk around the park and collected some lovely Autumn leaves.  I wanted to incorporate them into my project today.  I put the leaves in some paper and put them inside a heavy book overnight to press them down.  I started off with a white card base and used this sentiment stamp from Unity and repeat stamped all down the side of my card using Potting Soil Archival Ink. Then I went around the edges with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink.  Next I took my leaves and my paper punches and punched a heart shape out from the yellow leaf and then stuck it to my card with fabric glue.  Then I punched som...
