Glow In The Dark Stars


 Hello Friends

I was experimenting with some new embossing powders that I bought months ago and have not got around to using. This one is a glow in the dark one.  How fun is that?

I thought this was the perfect stamp to use from Unity See Stars.  I used a stencil by Heidi Swapp called Confetti to create the stars. I stamped with Versamark ink then sprinkled the Glow in the dark embossing powder over it and heat embossed it.

I then used my black soot distress ink to create the background. I stamped the sentiment separately and used the same technique. I strung some silver and white twine and then mounted the sentiment with some foam squares. To finish off the card I added some star shaped gem stones.


It was really difficult to get a good picture in the dark. This give you an idea of the result you get. It really does glow in the dark really well. It is something different and quite unique don't you think? I need to experiment with it some more.

Craft Stamper November Challenge

Hey Friends Welcome to a new  Craft Stamper  challenge for November. Can you believe we are almost at the end of the year already!!  Where did time go?? It has been pretty cold and frosty up here in Scotland for the last few nights.   But I am hanging on to Autumn as long as I can. I took a wee walk around the park and collected some lovely Autumn leaves.  I wanted to incorporate them into my project today.  I put the leaves in some paper and put them inside a heavy book overnight to press them down.  I started off with a white card base and used this sentiment stamp from Unity and repeat stamped all down the side of my card using Potting Soil Archival Ink. Tag Trio Day 5 GIU

 Hello Friends Welcome to my final day as GIU girl. I must say that I have loved every minute of it and I have enjoyed putting all of my projects together for you to see. So I wanted to end my week with some distress tags. I love getting messy with my distress inks and using the embossing resist technique. I chose this lovely flower stamp set called  Insightful Meadows . The sentiments are from another stamp set called  The Simple Things . These were so easy to make I stamped all of the flowers and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I took 3 different colours for each tag and swiped them on to my craft sheet. I spritzed some water and let the tag pick up the inks.
