Time Out Challenges - Guest Designer Week 2

Hello My Crafty Friends

I hope you are all having a good week so far!! I am back again with my second post as a guest designer for the TIME OUT challenge.  Look at all of these pretty colours in the inspiration photo have you entered yet?? If not you have some time left to get crafty.

I got out my distress inks to make this card. I love to get messy with them they make me so happy ha! First I heat embossed this lovely floral stamp called Untamed Beauty from Unity with white embossing powder.

Then I got out my Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean distress inks. I like to swipe the colours on to my craft sheet and pick up the colours from there.  I misted my card with a little water first then applied the inks and built up layers of colour until I was happy with it. When it was dry I added a couple of gem stones.

Finally I mounted this on to a white card base using some foam squares. I had previously scored lines down the card using my scoreboard to mimic the white wood paneling in the picture. It was so bright outside when I took the photo that you can barely see the lines but you can make it out a little.

This is such a fun challenge to take part in come and join in if you can.  Thanks so much to the ladies at TIME OUT for having me join in the fun as a guest designer I really enjoyed it.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today :)

Unity & Misti Blog Hop

Hello My lovelies :) Welcome to the Unity and Misti blog hop! I  hope you are enjoying seeing all of the projects so far. I just had my first wee play with the Misti tool the other day. It is a very new to me tool and wow do I LOVE it!! It is awesome! Just for the simplest of things like positioning a stamp.  One time is all you need with the Misti!! I am not one of those crafters that gets my stamped images crisp first time. I usually have wasted a card or two before I end up with a perfect image. This tool totally eliminates all of that.  Here is my very first card that I made with the Misti tool and Unity stamps.  I used a stamp called  Scattered Pieces . I LOVE this stamp and the sentiments that come with it.  I positioned the feather and the sentiment at the same time on the Misti.  I totally love that you can do that too!  It lets you stamp several at once instead of just eye b...

Tag Trio Day 5 GIU

Hello Friends Welcome to my final day as GIU girl. I must say that I have loved every minute of it and I have enjoyed putting all of my projects together for you to see. So I wanted to end my week with some distress tags. I love getting messy with my distress inks and using the embossing resist technique. I chose this lovely flower stamp set called  Insightful Meadows . The sentiments are from another stamp set called  The Simple Things . These were so easy to make I stamped all of the flowers and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I took 3 different colours for each tag and swiped them on to my craft sheet. I spritzed some water and let the tag pick up the inks. I dried them 3 or 4 times in between until I had built up the colours I wanted.  I then stamped out the sentiments on to vellum and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I attached the vellum with glue and glued it at the back of ...

Craft Stamper November Challenge

Hey Friends Welcome to a new  Craft Stamper  challenge for November. Can you believe we are almost at the end of the year already!!  Where did time go?? It has been pretty cold and frosty up here in Scotland for the last few nights.   But I am hanging on to Autumn as long as I can. I took a wee walk around the park and collected some lovely Autumn leaves.  I wanted to incorporate them into my project today.  I put the leaves in some paper and put them inside a heavy book overnight to press them down.  I started off with a white card base and used this sentiment stamp from Unity and repeat stamped all down the side of my card using Potting Soil Archival Ink. Then I went around the edges with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink.  Next I took my leaves and my paper punches and punched a heart shape out from the yellow leaf and then stuck it to my card with fabric glue.  Then I punched som...
