Frosty Mornings

Hello Friends

I have been feeling really low lately. I have a combination of the winter blues and feeling homesick blah! We have been getting snow lots of snow here in upstate NY. I am so tired of  winter and being stuck inside. I am from Scotland where our winters are so much milder. You can still function and get out and about in winter time.

I have not been in the mood to craft either, but I had a sudden burst of energy to make something last night. So I wanted to make something that would reflect how I was feeling. This card captures that perfectly. When I step outside first thing in the morning. The snow is swirling all around and the howling wind blows right through you brrrrrr!!!

I had the perfect stamp in mind for that too. This girl stamp from the What Lies Within KOM. Her hair blowing in the wind was perfect. I went with kraft and white for my colour scheme and some vellum. I also used some snow patterned kraft card and corrugated card to create all of the layers. The sentiment is from Frosty Mornings Lots Of Snow Itty Bitty stamp.

I hope you like my card thanks so much for stopping by!!! I am away to get a hot cup of tea and watch some more snow fall outside my window.

Friends with Flair @ Unity

Here is my Unity Friends with Flair entry.  I used my Feel the Joy stamp and used the generation stamping technique with memento ink. I then sponged the background in purple and deep pink pigment ink.  I mounted it on to white card and added the Happy Birthday sentiment at the bottom. It looked too plain so I added teeny weeny little butterflies from the butterfly punch from Martha Stewart.  P.S I ran out of daubers and all I could find was a magic eraser it did the trick as a makeshift sponge :)                                        If you want to take part hop along to Unity and enter  here I just had to make another card I just love this stamp I wish I had gotten it sooner it is so versatile. I think it may be my new favourite Unity Stamp :)                                                                           Thanks for visiting :)

Love You - Hot Pink

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you all had a good week. Here is the card I made for this weeks friends with flair today.  I used two stamps on this card. The hearts are from the  You are my Main Squeeze stamp set. The sentiment is from the Strength & Dignity KOM 11/13 .  The vibrant pink colour is Picked Raspberry distress ink that I sponged all over the card. I embossed the hearts with white embossing powder. I really like he effect it created it looks almost like chalk.  Have a great weekend :)

Craft Stamper November Challenge

Hey Friends Welcome to a new  Craft Stamper  challenge for November. Can you believe we are almost at the end of the year already!!  Where did time go?? It has been pretty cold and frosty up here in Scotland for the last few nights.   But I am hanging on to Autumn as long as I can. I took a wee walk around the park and collected some lovely Autumn leaves.  I wanted to incorporate them into my project today.  I put the leaves in some paper and put them inside a heavy book overnight to press them down.  I started off with a white card base and used this sentiment stamp from Unity and repeat stamped all down the side of my card using Potting Soil Archival Ink. Then I went around the edges with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink.  Next I took my leaves and my paper punches and punched a heart shape out from the yellow leaf and then stuck it to my card with fabric glue.  Then I punched some hearts from the red leaves and put one inside t
