I really enjoy the Unity Be Inspired Challenge. It does challenge me to use colours that I would normally stay away from. I love seeing what everyone creates with the same palette. There is still lots of time left to link up your project if you want to take part :)
I was going for a beach theme for this card. I used three different stamp sets, Rain or Shine, My Sunshine & Angie Girl - Dream with your Heart. I created the background with alcohol markers. The blue/green colour as a sky and the stone colour as sand. I kept the colouring a little blotchy for a wet sand look.
I stamped and paper pieced the image of the couple using all of my scrap paper. I used the flowers from the Angie Girl stamp to create the pattern on the dress.
I stamped, coloured and cut out the clouds. I then glued them to the very top, letting the sun overlap the card base to create some dimension.
I then added tiny little hearts as my 'rain'. I finished it off by stamping the sentiment on the bottom. I think it would make a good Valentine's day card maybe my husband will get it on Feb 14th :)
