Tag Challenge

Happy Monday :) It's my day off today I got up early to do my housework this morning. I thought I would check my email first then signed onto Facebook. BAD idea!!! I saw the tag challenge on the Unity show and tell page just had to take part :)  I have never done a tag before. I only had really small ones so decided to take the template and just make it bigger.

My inspiration was some card stock I got from Michaels craft store a few months ago. It was a cherry blossom tree. I just love Cherry blossoms :) So I pulled out my faithful flower stamp from the Angie Girl : Dream with your heart set. It reminds me of cherry blossoms I use this all the time. I then searched my stash of Unity stamps for a nice sentiment. I  wanted something with HOPE in it. I found the While I breath, I hope stamp from The simple things stamp set. I love the word hope it keeps me going in my faith when times are tough.

I stamped the flowers and the sentiment using Memento rich cocoa ink. The sentiment is one long sentence so I had to stamp it on sections to fit on the tag. I then used some acrylic paint to for the flowers. It was looking a little plain so I then stamped the whole tag with Memento Angel pink with a scrunched up paper towel. I added some small pearls for the centre of the flowers and some pink and brown ribbon.

Here is the finished tag I love it and there are no butterflies in sight :)

Here it is beside my inspirational cardstock :)

Craft Stamper November Challenge

Hey Friends Welcome to a new  Craft Stamper  challenge for November. Can you believe we are almost at the end of the year already!!  Where did time go?? It has been pretty cold and frosty up here in Scotland for the last few nights.   But I am hanging on to Autumn as long as I can. I took a wee walk around the park and collected some lovely Autumn leaves.  I wanted to incorporate them into my project today.  I put the leaves in some paper and put them inside a heavy book overnight to press them down.  I started off with a white card base and used this sentiment stamp from Unity and repeat stamped all down the side of my card using Potting Soil Archival Ink. Then I went around the edges with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink.  Next I took my leaves and my paper punches and punched a heart shape out from the yellow leaf and then stuck it to my card with fabric glue.  Then I punched some hearts from the red leaves and put one inside t

Friends with Flair @ Unity

Here is my Unity Friends with Flair entry.  I used my Feel the Joy stamp and used the generation stamping technique with memento ink. I then sponged the background in purple and deep pink pigment ink.  I mounted it on to white card and added the Happy Birthday sentiment at the bottom. It looked too plain so I added teeny weeny little butterflies from the butterfly punch from Martha Stewart.  P.S I ran out of daubers and all I could find was a magic eraser it did the trick as a makeshift sponge :)                                        If you want to take part hop along to Unity and enter  here I just had to make another card I just love this stamp I wish I had gotten it sooner it is so versatile. I think it may be my new favourite Unity Stamp :)                                                                           Thanks for visiting :)

Unity & Misti Blog Hop

Hello My lovelies :) Welcome to the Unity and Misti blog hop! I  hope you are enjoying seeing all of the projects so far. I just had my first wee play with the Misti tool the other day. It is a very new to me tool and wow do I LOVE it!! It is awesome! Just for the simplest of things like positioning a stamp.  One time is all you need with the Misti!! I am not one of those crafters that gets my stamped images crisp first time. I usually have wasted a card or two before I end up with a perfect image. This tool totally eliminates all of that.  Here is my very first card that I made with the Misti tool and Unity stamps.  I used a stamp called  Scattered Pieces . I LOVE this stamp and the sentiments that come with it.  I positioned the feather and the sentiment at the same time on the Misti.  I totally love that you can do that too!  It lets you stamp several at once instead of just eye balling it and hoping it works out!
