Unity & Misti Blog Hop

Hello My lovelies :)

Welcome to the Unity and Misti blog hop!

I  hope you are enjoying seeing all of the projects so far.

I just had my first wee play with the Misti tool the other day.

It is a very new to me tool and wow do I LOVE it!!

It is awesome!

Just for the simplest of things like positioning a stamp.

One time is all you need with the Misti!!

I am not one of those crafters that gets my stamped images crisp first time.

I usually have wasted a card or two before I end up with a perfect image.

This tool totally eliminates all of that.

Here is my very first card that I made with the Misti tool and Unity stamps.

I used a stamp called Scattered Pieces.

I LOVE this stamp and the sentiments that come with it.

I positioned the feather and the sentiment at the same time on the Misti.

I totally love that you can do that too!

It lets you stamp several at once instead of just eye balling it and hoping it works out!

I used Broken China and Cracked Pistachio oxide inks on the feather and archival on the sentiment.

I just blended both Oxide colours together right on the stamp.

I ended up stamping it three times to give it lots of colour.

I then changed the position of the feather and just added a wee top and bottom border with the edges of the stamp.

Then I took my distress inks and coloured in the feather for a more solid look.

Next I  put my card on to some Recollections card stock in the same colour scheme.

It was looking a little plain so I added some glitter paste hearts.

I also added some to the feather.

Finally I tied some silver twine  around the card to finish.

I really love how it turned out.

The Misti made my stamping so much easier.

If you don't have one put it on your wish list!!

Better still keep commenting on all of our blogs to be in with a chance of winning one.

There are 3 fab prize packs up for grabs.

Winners will be posted on both the Unity and the My Sweet Petunia blogs on May 31st.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.

You next stop should be the lovely Anna Wight

Enjoy the rest of the hop!
